The command start_struggle iberian_struggle
is an event command. The main purpose of this command is to start the Iberian Struggle again if it ever ended.
The Iberian Struggle is a long-term conflict that affects every character present in the region of Iberia. This feature is available only with the Fate of Iberia
DLC enabled. The struggle has a significant number of effects on the gameplay.
A faith or culture becomes involved in the Iberian Struggle if 80% of the counties that follow it are present in the region of Iberia. Certain faiths and cultures are always involved, such as Mozarabism, Catholicism, Muwalladism, Ash'arism, Rabbinism, and cultures like Andalusian, Asturleonese, Basque, Catalan, Castilian, Galician, Portuguese, Bedouin, Maghrebi, Mashriqi, Baranis, Sephardi, Aragonese.
The Iberian Struggle goes through four phases: Opportunity, Hostility, Conciliation, and Compromise. Each phase has different effects on involved and interloper characters and is influenced by certain actions, known as Catalysts.
The Iberian Struggle can end in three ways: Dominance, Status Quo, and Détente. Each ending grants the dynasty that ended the struggle 10000 Renown. An Interloper character may also end the struggle by taking the Iberian Foothold decision.
