Overview

The yesmen command in Crusader Kings III (CK3) is a cheat command that you can use to manipulate the AI characters' responses to your proposals.

When activated, this command makes all AI characters agree to any proposals that you make, no matter what they are. They will invariably say 'yes', hence the command name 'yesmen'.

This includes proposals for alliances, marriage, vassalage, peace, and war, etc. Whether you are proposing something beneficial or detrimental to the other character, they will accept.

This command essentially removes the diplomacy aspect of the game, as you won't have to strategize or convince anyone for your proposals.

This command can be very useful when you want to speed up the game or need a quick success for your diplomacy interactions.

For example, gaining alliances quickly can help boost your defenses or you could marry into powerful dynasties without the usual resistance.

The yesmen command toggles this effect on or off. The first time you use it, it enables the effect, and if you type it again, it will disable the effect, returning the AI characters to their usual decision-making processes.

How to Open the Command Console

In CK3, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~ (tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
