Overview

The join_era is used to change the technological era of the culture of a specified character.

The syntax of the command is join_era [era_id] [character_id].

The [era_id] references the era you wish to transition to. Different eras consist of the Early Medieval (culture_era_early_medieval), High Medieval (culture_era_high_medieval), Late Medieval (culture_era_late_medieval), and Tribal (culture_era_tribal).

The [character_id] is the ID of the character whose culture you wish to update. Every character in the game has a unique ID and this command would affect the culture of the character associated with the ID inputted.

If no character ID is specified, this command updates the player character's culture to the specified era.

Eras

In CK3, the game's timeline is divided into four different eras. Each era represents a different period of medieval history and is associated with different technologies, innovations, and events. Here are the four eras:

1. Tribal Era: This is the earliest era in the game and represents the period when many societies were still organized into tribes. During this era, characters can use tribal government mechanics, and the technologies and innovations available are relatively basic.

2. Early Medieval Era: This era represents the transition from tribal societies to feudal ones. It's a period of significant change, with new technologies and innovations becoming available that can transform the way your realm operates.

3. High Medieval Era: This era is a time of great technological and administrative progress. Towns grow into cities, the burgher class rises, and new opportunities for expansion and conquest become available.

4. Late Medieval Era: This is the final era in the game and represents the height of medieval civilization. The technologies and innovations available during this era are the most advanced in the game, and characters can use complex strategies and tactics to achieve their goals.

Each era has its own set of innovations divided into four categories: Cultural, Regional, Military, and Civic. These innovations represent technological advancements, social changes, and other developments that can provide various benefits to your realm.
