Overview

The event command is used to trigger a specific event in the game.

An event in CK3 is essentially a certain scripted scenario with its predefined course of action in the game world. These events can cover a variety of situations, from historical occurrences to game-specific situations. They can introduce new dilemmas, possibilities, opportunities, or challenges for the player.

When you use the event command, you follow it with the numerical ID of the specific event you want to trigger. For instance, you might type event bp1_yearly.9046 to trigger the event 'A Brown Naming.'

How to Open the Command Console

In CK3, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~ (tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
