Overview

The give_title command in Crusader Kings III is essentially used to assign a particular title to a specific character.

Titles refer to the different ranks possessed by characters, which may include kings, queens, dukes, counts, etc.

This command comes in handy when you want to change the title of a character quickly or on the fly.

For instance, if you're seeking to enhance the prestige or power of a specific character, or if you want to change the socio-political dynamics of your realm.

How to Open the Command Console

In CK3, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~ (tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
