Hunnic Culture ID

The Hunnic culture was that of the Huns, a nomadic people of the Eurasian steppe who swept westward in late antiquity to dominate the lands north of the Roman frontier. Their mobile, martial way of life was built around the horse.

The Huns were masters of mounted warfare, their horse-archers feared across Europe. Rather than a single people, they formed a confederation that gathered many subject groups under the authority of a paramount ruler.

Under Attila, the Hunnic confederation reached the height of its power, extracting tribute from the Roman world and striking deep into Europe before fragmenting after his death.
