How to Get Piety in CK3

Add piety instantly with the console, plus the best legitimate ways to earn piety in Crusader Kings III.

Piety pays for faith decisions, claiming titles, and creating or reforming a religion, so it is easy to run short on. Once you've enabled debug mode and opened the console, the add_piety command tops it up instantly.

The piety command

Add a set amount of piety:

Change 1000 to any amount, or pass a negative number like add_piety -200 to remove piety. See the add_piety command page for full syntax.

Earning piety without cheats

To build piety the legitimate way:

  • Live up to your faith's virtues and tenets, and avoid its sins.
  • Win holy wars and complete pilgrimages and devotion activities.
  • Take the Learning lifestyle's Theologian tree for ongoing piety.
  • Hold the right religious titles and appoint a devoted court chaplain.
