How to Get Renown in CK3

Add renown in Crusader Kings III with the console, plus how renown and dynasty legacies work.

Renown is your dynasty's special currency, spent on powerful dynasty legacies. In Crusader Kings III renown is handled as dynasty prestige, so the console command targets that. First, enable debug mode and open the console.

The renown command

Add renown with dynasty_prestige:

Note this is separate from a character's personal prestige, which you add with add_prestige.

Earning renown the normal way

Renown accumulates automatically based on your dynasty's prestige level (splendor). To raise it faster, hold more and higher-ranked titles, keep many dynasty members alive and in influential positions, and complete decisions and events that grant dynasty prestige. Spend renown in the dynasty legacies screen for permanent bonuses to the whole dynasty.
