How to Get Prestige in CK3

Add prestige with the console, plus how prestige works and how to earn it in Crusader Kings III.

Prestige is your character's standing — spent on pressing claims, recruiting men-at-arms, and many decisions. After enabling debug mode and opening the console, the add_prestige command tops it up instantly.

The prestige command

Add a set amount of prestige:

Change 1000 to any amount, or pass a negative number like add_prestige -200 to remove prestige. See the add_prestige command page for full syntax.

Prestige vs. renown

Personal prestige is separate from your dynasty's renown, which funds dynasty legacies. To top that up instead, see how to get renown.

Earning prestige without cheats

  • Hold more — and higher-ranked — titles for ongoing prestige income.
  • Maintain men-at-arms regiments and appoint knights.
  • Win wars, and host feasts, hunts, and grand activities.
  • Take lifestyle perks and traits that boost prestige gain.
